I'm still seeing cardinals (males and females) feeding fledglings. I'm also
seeing goldfinches feeding their fledglings. It doesn't seem too late for
the goldfinches though. I wonder if the cardinals actually had a second
nesting this year.

We have a male and female cardinal both feeding a greediy fledgling for the
past week at our feeder in Franklin County on west side of Columbus. Also, a
pair of Flickers have moved back into the nest box. New birds have shown up
here to stay for the past six weeks including nuthatches, jays, carolina
wrens, nashville warbler, bay breasted warbler, and yellow warbler, and 3-5
Rose Breasted Grossbeaks.
It's been a very interesting past few weeks with lots of new yard birds. I
don't recall this much variety at once in past 18 years I've lived here.
