I stopped at Bradstreet Landing last night at about 5:00.
8 Surf Scoters and 1 White-winged Scoter were spotted
to the west of the pier.
I returned this morning hoping to get better looks with the morning
light, but a boat with decoys around it was there instead.
I did manage to see 4-5 Common Loons from the landing and
from the overlook at Rocky River Park. Other ducks included about
75 Red-breasted Mergs. A fair number of Bonaparte gulls were around as well.
On the return home, I saw a Red-shouldered Hawk at Clague Park in Westlake.
See you on the trails,
Chris Pierce
