I went to Sims Park in Euclid this morning from 8:40 to 10:20am. The lake was pretty smooth and even though it was supposed to be foggy all the birds were easy to see. After awhile Jeanne Hrenko joined me. Here are the birds that we could find in the water:

American Black Ducks 10 (flew in and landed)
White-winged Scoter 1
Black Scoters 18 (group 16 & group 2)one looked like 1st winter male
Common Goldeneye - few
Hooded Merganser 1
Red-breasted Mergansers - hundreds (not huge amount)groups also passing by
Common Loon 2
Horned Grebe 50+
Bonaparte's Gulls - few
