Hi all,

I saw an adult Bald Eagle near Buckeye Park in Bluffton about 1/2 hour
ago. It landed briefly but a Ring-billed Gull chased it off. The eagle
was last seen headed west along Riley Creek. Aslo, the female Northern
Shoveler is still hanging out with the weird hybrid mallards on the pond.

Earlier this morning, I drove to Bressler Reservoir in hopes of seeing
the Red-throated Loon. There were substantial numbers of birds on the
water but they were out toward the middle. Unfortunately, all the
waterfowl were just at the edge of the range of my binos and I couldn't
clearly ID anything.

Happy birding,
Chris Caprette
Allen Co.
