I checked the Clear Fork Reservoir just west of Lexington (City of
Mansfield) this morning (25 November 2009), viewed from Rt. 97 along the
south edge of the reservoir. The duck and goose decoys outnumbered the
actual waterfowl by a very large margin, but a close RED-THROATED LOON was a
nice surprise.

Mute Swan - 1
Canada Goose - 2
 Hooded Merganser - 15
RED-THROATED LOON - 1
Common Loon - 12
Pied-billed Grebe - 2
 American Coot - 250
Ring-billed Gull - 20

Good birding,

Jay McGowan
Ithaca, NY
