Hello all,

Might there be an invasion this year? Well today may have been foreshadowing.

Today while working in Dr. Jed Burtt's yard (president of the AOU),
which is in Morrow Co., two Pine Siskins flew overhead, calling and
flying east to west. About three hours later, another two flew
overhead, again east to west. There may have been only two birds, but
possibly four. Then, during an outdoors meeting on campus, a single
siskin flew overhead, this time from northeast to southwest. However,
I checked the other state listservs (KY, IN, PA, MI) and only one
siskin had been reported from southeast Michigan in the past few days.
This totals to at least three Pine Siskins today, but quite possibly
five. Let's see what the next few weeks bring.

Good birding,

Sean
