Susan Jones and I (Karin Tanquist) spent 1.5 hours at midday looking
for waterfowl on Lake Rockwell and Lake Pippen.  Noted was the absence
of Ring-necked duck (83 Ring-necked duck seen there on 12/5/09).  We
had some
lovely close-ups of Hooded & Common Mergansers.

  Double-crested Cormorant
  Canada goose
  Mallard
14--Black duck
30--Gadwall
18--Scaup sp (most likely Lesser)
1--Bufflehead
28--Hooded Merganser
62--Common Merganser
1--Red-tailed hawk
  Ring-billed Gull
1--Bald Eagle
1--Wilson's Snipe
