This Saturday, December 19th and Sunday, December 20th will have multiple Christmas Bird Counts around Ohio.
 
This is a reminder for Christmas Bird Count Compilers and Participants that for the 2009 fall gun deer-hunting season, the Ohio Department of Natural Resources has again extended the season to include an extra weekend. ODNR added an extra weekend in deer gun season on December 19 and 20, 2009.
If you participate in any area that may have hunters present you should wear something with Hunter Orange as a safety factor. The last thing you want to do is to wear a white hat or any other white apparel that could cause a hunter to think you are a white-tailed deer. 
May we all have a safe and productive Christmas Bird Count, and may your Holiday be filled with joy and great birds.
