Hello all,

Here are some of my highlights from the Delaware County Christmas Bird

with Justus Nethero in the southern part of Delaware Wildlife Area.

Cackling Goose 1*** New species for the count
Wood Duck 4
American Black Duck 1
Mallard 575
Northern Pintail 1
Ring-necked Duck 1

Hooded Merganser 1
Bald Eagle 1
Bonaparte's Gull 19
Long-eared Owl 1
Red-headed Woodpecker 1
Yellow-bellied Sapsucker 1
Northern Shrike 1
Red-breasted Nuthatch 2
Golden-crowned Kinglet 82*, a lot of kinglets!
Hermit Thrush 2*** New species for the count
Brown Thrasher 2*** New species for the count
Yellow-rumped Warbler 79* lots
American Tree Sparrow 412* oodles
Fox Sparrow 1

Also, the count circle contained one Rusty Blackbird and one Winter Wren.

Good birding,

Sean
