We took our "usual" Sunday drive circling Grand Lake Saint Marys to check MY Bald Eagle nests -- we were successful in locating the Mercer Nest pair perching side-by-side on a tree limb on the north shore of the Mercer Wildlife Area. They were discussing where/when to start the 2010 nest season ... "trust me" I know these things ...

 

Heading north on US127 toward Celina, I happened to see something white through the trees and of course we had to turn around and check it out. Thought it might be one of the Mute Swans ;-( that hang out on the lake BUT NO!!! There it was!! One of the two White Pelicans that have adopted GLSM as their home for the past year plus!!

 

I was able to get one good digiscoped photo and I will try to post it on the Ohio Bird Forum but don't get excited!!!!! I STILL do NOT know how to do this! Oh well, Senior brain f--- failure  --
