I spent a little while checking out the McKinley Ave. quarry and Watermark
quarry this afternoon. McKinley Ave quarry was nearly birdless, it only
held a single Pied-billed Grebe. The Watermark Quarry was better, with:

Pied-billed Grebe (1)
Horned Grebe (1)
Common Loon (1)
Ring-necked Duck (59)
Mallard (2)

The Canada Geese are starting to congregate out here in SW Hilliard. There
are usually flocks in the thousands in this area in winter, often with
Cackling and others accompanying them. Nothing but Canadas so far...in the
low hundreds.
