Folks, 

We're on the lookout for more participants for the Glen Helen Christmas
Bird Count.  As near as I can tell, this will be the first CBC in Glen
Helen (remarkable, really, when you consider that people have been keeping
records on the birds of the Glen for decades).  As such, I'm hoping for a
sizeable group of observers so that we can start to build a solid baseline
for the future.  

The date is set for Saturday, December 19th.  We'll start at 8 am at
Trailside Museum (505 Corry St. in Yellow Springs), and aim to hit all the
trails and habitat types in the preserve.  I expect that we'll finish up
by 2 pm.

I can promise hot chocolate and cold feet to all participants.  What could
be better?
