Hello all,

As Bill Whan mentioned, you can see the yellow-crowned night heron nest by typing in the address and going to street view and looking up. I was amazed at some of the things you could do on this free program. To get it, do a search for google earth and download it. You need a fast computer, but it is so much fun. You can go see the streets of Cancun looking for parrots on the wires, or look for gulls along the pacific coast. The photos are not live, but still interesting. So here is my challenge. On rarebird.org I will open a page on the statewide called "google earth challenge" If you get bored this winter download Google Earth and explore some street level views (this is the little camera that appears on many roads) Whoever can find an identify the best birds, whether they be from Ohio, or China will win. There is no prize, except pride. The birds have to be seen from the street view though, and must be able to be identified. I would check the wires;) This might be the only chance you get to bird Mexico from the artic of Ohio this winter. To win, list the city, state, country, and address of the bird so others can find it.

Cheers,

Troy
