The 87th Buckeye Lake Christmas bird count is scheduled for next Saturday,
December 19th.

This count circle, which is centered on Buckeye Lake, includes south-central
Licking County, northeast Fairfield County, and northwest Perry County.

I will collect the $5 participation fee that National Audubon Society
requires for each field participant. Observers under 18 and feeder watchers
do not need to pay the fee. These fees help to cover NAS's costs of
managing the bird count program, producing the annual summary magazine, and
maintaining the CBC website and database.

Everyone will meet at the Buckeye Lake McDonald's restaurant, between 7:00
and 7:30 a.m. The McDonald's is located on the south side of the
interchange at I-70 and State Route 79. After we see who's there, we can
decide how to split into teams and territories. We'll start heading into
the field at 7:30ish.

I'd appreciate it if you'd let me know ahead of time if you're planning to
go, so I can know to look for you at the McDonald's on Saturday.
