Today while once again checking for ducks (still no luck, but lots of
Mallards!) I had four common summer birds, but rather uncommon for December.

Eastern Phoebe- 1, along the Olentangy near the wastewater treatment plant.
Red-winged Blackbird- 4, in a flock with Brown-headed Cowbirds, headed south
Common Grackle- 3, completely uninvolved with the icterid flock, headed west
Brown-headed Cowbird- 45, large flock with redwings moving down the
Olentangy, headed south

Good birding,

Sean
