Good morning,

The Ross's Goose I saw yesterday has returned this morning. It was present
from about 7:30am till 8:30am, then flew off to the west with some Canadas.
I saw it fly by and "think about" landing around 9:30, but it flew off
again. Then it came in some time around 10am and has been on the pond till
now. It's still hanging out with all the Canadas. No Cacklings that I can
see. There are a couple Black Ducks and a female Hooded Merganser (got one
photo) also on the pond. I have been able to spend some good time with
binoculars on the Ross's Goose, and also got some photos of it today.
Please excuse the rough quality of the photos. It's the best I can do with
the camera I've got. I haven't been able to justify the cost of better
equipment just yet...still in medical school incurring loans!!

The photos can be found at
http://www.dropshots.com/nyefamily1#date/2009-12-14/23:36:24. I'll try to
post them in a thread on the Ohiobirds forum. Obviously, if you're a good
photographer, you could probably get some awesome shots of this bird if this
is what I can do with my little digital camera. Again, the address of this
lake is the intersection of Crystalpond Dr. and Spindler Rd. This is
directly across the soccer fields on Spindler.

Good birding,

Nate Nye
