I would call it an invasion.   :-D  We have so many house FINCHES that
the house SPARROWS are having to go to other feeders to feed.  They hang
around till spring and then return to wherever they go to.  I've got
about 20 that hang out at my feeder daily.  It's fun to watch the
interaction between them.  One will stand guard at a high branch while
the others feed then it will come down and another will fly up.  Or one
pair will go down to feed and one of them will stay up on top of the
feeder till the other is done then go down and get some food.
