Mindy-

My analysis of 14 years' worth of spring migration data for Magee Marsh
Wildlife Area indicates that to maximize both warbler count and total
species count, the optimal time to bird there is May 10-11. May 17
stands out as a date nearly as good. See

  http://www.umich.edu/~bbowman/birds/se_mich/mi_bird.html#stats

But, really, you shouldn't expect there to be any great difference
between the weekends of May 1-2, May 8-9, and May 15-16. Between the
May 1-2 weekend and the May 15-16 weekend, though, I would choose the May
15-16 because you will see more warbler species then--19 average per day
vs. 14 average per day. See the table below.

                    Total no. No. of
                   of species warbler species

May 1 63 14
May 2 60 14
Average 1-2 62 14

May 8 60 15
May 9 67 17
Average 8-9 64 16

May 15 60 19
May 16 62 19
Average 15-16 61 19

The above results are based on 111 spring migration birding trips to
Magee Marsh.
