There were 11 Cackling Geese along the Great Miami River in Miamisburg among the hundreds of Canadas. This was just south of the Linden Avenue bridge.

Shane Egleston and I also found 1 Cackling goose near the lowhead dam in West Carrollton, a female Common Merganser in the river near Sunwatch Village (Shane had seen it in this location the previous few days) and at 3:30 we saw 2 Sandhill Cranes fly into the Barrett Paving gravel pit on Farmersville-W.Carrollton Rd just east of Soldiers Home Rd. Shane first saw 2 Sandhills here on Dec. 24.
