Thanks to Inga Schmidt for her posting regarding the short-eared owl at Frohring Meadows. I was 
able to easily find and watch this bird for ~30 minutes. He stayed on his perch as I walked down the 
meadow trail towards him and didn't seem bothered. I was hoping he'd start his evening hunt while I 
was there but no such luck. This bird was a first for me, so muchas gracias!
