> I received a few phone calls and emails about a Great Horned Owl perched on a building across from the INA building in downtown Lakewood. I just went to confirm it, and it is fake. Just giving birders a heads up in the area.

I knew that when they put that thing up it would fool a few people.

There's also a house on Hilliard that has a similar fake owl in the front
yard, and it could fool a few people in the dark.

By the way, that's only half a block away from where I saw two screech
owls Monday
night, on trees on the treelawns of Belle. These were real. :-)

And, of course, a few blocks away is the Westerly, atop which a
peregrine falcon perches
regularly.
