Details of these sightings are desired by the Ohio Bird Records Committee. Careful observation, not ornithological expertise, is the only qualification for submitting your data. For details and pointers see: http://www.ohiobirds.org/records/documentation.php

Greater White-fronted Goose: Two hung around Meinke Marina - private property at the end of Teachout Rd, Lucas - thru 13 Jan (Dan ?).

Snow Goose: A Blue phase was nicely documented at Norwalk Reservoir, Huron 14 Jan (Ethan Longhenry). Five - a good count for central Ohio - were at Slate Run MP, Pickaway 21 Jan (Andrea Hasl*ge). One was outside of the West Chester, Butler IKEA 26 Jan (John Hull). Fernald Nature Preserve, Hamilton hosted four 25 Jan (John Hill).

Snow X Canada Goose: One has been frequenting the E. 72nd St. area - photographed and ID’ed by Jared Mizanin
Cackling Goose: Two continue to hang around the Ohio Wesleyan campus, Delaware as of 15 Jan (Sean Williams). Brad Sparks had another at Pickerington Ponds MP, Franklin 22 Jan. Kirk Westendorf observed a pure flock of nine pass through Miami-Whitewater Wetlands 24 Jan.

Bufflehead x Hooded Merganser: A young male hybrid potentially of these species was photographed 17 Jan at E. 72nd St. (Gabe Leidy). I am unaware of any previous state records of this mix.

White-winged Scoter: A male passed Lakeshore MP 24 Jan (John Pogacnik).

Great Egret: One has been around the warm water outflow at Bayshore Power Plant, Lucas thru 18 Jan (Dan ?).

Black-crowned Night-Heron: Bayshore Power Plant birds peaked at 26 on 18 Jan (Dan ?).

Highland Park Cemetery, Cuyahoga was a new location for a bird 17-19 Jan (Inga Schmidt). One was at a Trumbull Co. golf course 22 Mar was, as well (Suzanne Butcher). Overlooking at the park office at Caesar Creek SP 23 Jan there were two (Shane Egleston fide John Habig), where just one had been the day previous (John Habig).
