I second that sentiment, Scotty. My beliefs are a part of me and why should I hide them just to please a few. I too look to the sign-offs of others as a side-interest in who they are. Part of birdwatching is to enjoy the beauty and marvelous diversity of the species and the locations where they are found, just as part of mankind is the diversity of our beliefs. If you are offended by the sign-offs, just don't read them!!!

Just because you say "no offense" doesn't excuse the offensive things you 
say.  People of all different cultures and beliefs participate in birding 
and thus, this listserve.  I, personally, take great interest in the 
personal signatures of each post as it shows how incredibly diverse our 
passion is.  God bless diversity and God bless all of you for sharing your 
experiences with our feathered friends.
