Fellow bird wackos,

The Indigo Bunting, which can fly, but does have an injured wing, was
still coming to the feeder yesterday and today. He helped push our day one
yard count to 28!!! The sapsucker showed up this morning to make 29. The
outside the yard total is 35, but we will not go for 100 this year, unless
they come to our yard. Myself, Linda, and Vicki all got over 100 last year
(101,102,103) but it got a little hectic at the end and wasn't that much fun
any more. Once is enough. However, I would love for the yard count to
reach half a century again.

One of the best sites yesterday was 17 Cedar Waxwings, two Bluebirds
and a red Bellied woodpecker on the same branch of a large Walnut tree
visible from my sunroom window.

The offer to view the Bunting still stands, although you might have to
sit at the window and drink coffee for a while. Some folks took sugar to
the Allen's hummingbird site. I would accept sugar cookies, doughnuts,
cakes, pies, etc.

Perry County

note: while the name Perry might suggest proximity to Lake Erie, Perry
County is actually in South eastern Ohio, just south of Buckeye Lake.
