Hello Ohio Birders,
At Deer Creek Reservoir (Pickaway Co.) this morning there was a blue phase Snow Goose among the many Canada Geese, and two Killdeer at the edge of the open water by the boat ramp off rte 207. I also had a Pileated Woodpecker at the beach parking area (not that they're very unusual but it's my first for Deer Creek).
The reservoir is still 95% frozen and some of the park roads and county roads have enough snow to challenge low-clearance vehicles.
Happy birding.
