This has been very worrisome to us as well. As I'm sure many of you know, in addition to the Toronto sighting yesterday and the West Point, Georgia Ivory Gull, here on the Northeast coast we have seen 4 more Ivory Gulls in the span of ONE YEAR (3 adults and one Juvi). Although believe me I feel unbelievably fortunate to have seen 4 Ivory Gulls (http://www.flickr.com/photos/jeffamy/4289819364/) it is hard to believe that this is not a very bad sign. Can anyone shed more light on what may be leading to this unprecedented occurrence?

regards,
jeff
