I got to East 72nd as Gabe was leaving this morning. I ended up staying a
couple hours. The Thayer's and 2 glaucous gulls he reported were still
there when I got there. The Thayer's disappeared right after they left and
never returned. During the two hours I also saw two Iceland gulls (adult
and 2nd cycle) and a first cycle lesser black-backed gull. The gull numbers
pretty much stayed at about 500 or so birds the whole time.
