That was a nice little video.  I have a pretty nice map I got from some sort
of conservatgion DoD program that shows US with all their major
installations with some pretty pictures of birds etc.  I couldn't remember
the name of the program but managed to find their much updated website
anyway which now has a nice downloadable  pdf on shorebirds.  Not id but
habitat descriptions by guild and survey results  (lots of charts and
graphs). as well as a couple of other things including the map.
Environmental issues tends to create strange bedfellows indeed.

I particularly love the map because it shows the division of the country
into broad habitat areas - tall grass prairie, central hardwoods, etc.
something I had never seen before
