Stopped at the Rayland marina today in Jefferson County. There were
many gulls, looked like ring billed, but also a pair, male and female,
of hooded mergansers and two pied bill grebes. The mergansers were in
the small pond on the west side of the road along the marina. The
grebes were actually in the creek where the bridge goes over from the
southbound exit. Also, one great blue heron.
