This afternoon I saw my first Turkey Vulture (definitely NOT a creagle)of
the year soaring over Lazelle Woods Park in northern Franklin County.
The Eastern Bluebirds haven't yet returned to Lazelle Woods but I did see
a couple house hunting at Emily Traphagen Nature Preserve in southern
Delaware County.
Also at Traphagen, I heard and saw downy and red-bellied woodpeckers
drumming, saw a male northern flicker chasing away an interloper, and
heard an American Woodcock and a Killdeer.
