Over the past week, my backyard feeder visitors included:
Common Grackles (many)
Red-winged Blackbirds (many)
Brown-headed Cowbirds
House Finches
House Sparrows
Tree Sparrows
Northern Cardinals
Blue Jays
Mourning Doves
Mallards ("residents")
Canada Geese
Cooper's Hawk (watched him have a feathered meal)
Other visitors to our development's lake included:
Ruddy Ducks (M&F; he stayed, she left!)
Lesser Scaups (2)
Hooded Mergansers (M&F)
Great-Blue Heron (fly over)
