Hi Nick,

We don't have any licenses for IDL. I'll check with Scott Haughin who manages IT for the School of Engineering to see if he knows of anyone that is using this package.

Subject: IDL

Hello,
I am a graduate student doing research with the Electrical & Computer
Engineering department. I am interested in data distributed by the
DEMETER satellite. Code is provided to read the data, but only in
IDL. Are there any copies or licenses available for IDL? Apparently
there is a free IDL virtual machine available which can run compiled
IDL programs, but the code in question is only distributed in source
form. Perhaps, if there is any copy available, I could just compile
the code there, then use the virtual machine to run it on my own
computers.

Thanks,
Nick
