For the past few weeks we have heard a Red-shouldered Hawk calling in the neighborhood (15th Street north of Broad Blvd). Today we had a pair in the backyard eating earthworms. All the while Cardinals and House finches were nearby on our feeders.

We had a nesting pair several years ago. I'm positive that this is not the same pair. This male is extremely light colored on the head. If I get a chance I will try to get some photos to post.
