I work in Northwestern Jackson County, and the house finchs are nest building in a red cedar... the 4th year in a row for the same small tree, 10 feet from where I park everyday. Temps here at 28 deg. this morning, not slowing them down any!


Of course the starlings(rat-birds) have also been nest building in our back warehouses in any hole they can find for a couple of weeks now.
