The Chardon kettle of Turkey Vultures was circling over their traditional
Rocky Cellars roost today, for my first sighting of the year. They
numbered minimum 18, probably 20 members. A student of mine reported one
TV on North Hambden roosting in a tree on the 17th. I have records since
2004, and the earliest I have seen them was March 4th in 2007.
