I was fortunate to have good timing today when dropping off students at the
Chagrin Falls roller rink. Directly south of the rink on the other side of
the street I observed a male red-shouldered hawk carry a small snake to the
top of an utility pole and call his mate. She then flew over and landed on
top of the pole with him. They both perched there for a minute before he
flew off to a wire nearby. Later they were calling and soaring. There was
also a third red-shouldered- not sure how it fit into the mix.

Heard a woodcock at the Rookery park in Munson Twp. calling from its usual
field. First one I've heard this year.

I'm diggin'it!
