Hello Everyone,
I spent the morning checking for waterfowl on Hoover Reservoir. The lower reservoir (Franklin County) was pretty birdless. Most of the waterfowl was spotted from the Redbank Marina, the boardwalk, and the oxbow. The highlight was my first Common Loon of the season. Red-Breasted Mergansers and Lesser Scaup numbered in the hundreds. Hooded Mergansers, Ruddy Ducks, Horned Grebes, Bufflehead, Goldeneye, & Ring-necked Ducks were also present. At the boardwalk, the pair of Ospreys were back at the nesting platform and a couple of Easter Phoebes were singing away.

Don't you just love spring?
