Hello All,
While traveling west on RT 161 in Franklin County heading to Deleware Wildlife area for a day of birding with Mary Ann and Kelli-Roo, my Sweetheart Mary Ann looked up into the trees and said was that a Great Horned Owl on a nest. I said I did not see it but lets turn around and look. Sure enough it was an adult Great Horned Owl with two owlets, the owlets were big but still had their downey feathers.
We all got lots of looks and it was especially fun sharing the owls with Kelli-Roo our ten year extraordinary birding partner. The birds continued to fill our day with some fun looks of Ring-necked Pheasants, Bald Eagles,Red-tailed and Cooper's Hawks and lots of waterfowl and other birds. The owl nest was located on the east bound side of Rt 161 east of the New Albany Road exit and west of the Rt 62 exit, or in between these two exits.

Mary Ann, Kelli-Roo and Bob
