About noon today I headed out to a couple lakes in E Mahoning Co., Evans L. and Pine L.  Lots of turnover with waterfowl from a few days ago.  The combined waterfowl count: 10 wood ducks, 18 gadwalls, 8 Am. wigeon, 2 Am. black ducks, 10 n. shovelers, 26 ring-necked ducks, 258 lesser scaup, 47 buffleheads, 37 red-breasted mergansers, 19 ruddy ducks, 4 horned grebes, 2 pied-billed grebes, and 16 double-crested cormorants.  Other birds included Am. kestrel, e. phoebe, 2 tree swallows, e. bluebirds, n. mockingbird, and dark-eyed junco.  Craig Holt, Lowellville
