I am sure everyone is tiring of the Long-tailed Duck reports; but it still amazes me that at least six days after the first sighting at this location there are still some here! This morning at 11:45AM the 3 Long-tailed Ducks from last evening were at the same, previously described location in the pouring down rain, with fishermen nearby. Remember, normally they can not be seen from the parking lot; you must look from the guardrail on the south side of the US224 causeway! Also of note today to the east in Mahoning County was a first of the spring Barn Swallow with a flock of Tree Swallows.
