On Thursday, Monte Mercer discovered 2 fully adult bald eagles building a
nest along the Stillwater River. The only place you can observe it is from
River Road. There are only 2 open areas that look all the way down to the
river. The nest is in a stand of (probably) cottonwood trees that run
along the river. Both adults have been working on the nest, and the nest is
coming along nicely. If you saw the announcement on Channel 7 news Sunday
evening, ignore this.
