Went over to Killdeer this morning and saw plenty of waterfowl in the
small patches of water to make the trip pleasurable. :-)

There were of course more Canada Geese than I care to count. Easily a
thousand scattered in the reserve. Most were in pond 1.
Also at pond #1 were 30 Redheads, 20 Pintail, 6-10 Ringnecks, about 30
Mallards, and 20 Trumpeter Swans. There were more that were beyond the
reach of my camera, but that is what I could see.
At the pond near the maintenance building were more pintails and geese.

Eagles were all over killdeer I counted 10 juvi and no adults. Also saw
plenty of red tailed hawks. No owls but plenty of...remains to think
that there were owls that overwintered there.

Big Island was slow. Only 50 ring billed Gulls were present and a lone
red tailed hawk was about it.

Pretty cool trip.
