On our eSite run at Cowan Lake today, Larry Gara and I had another Bald
Eagle. This bird appeared to be at least two years old. It matched up well
with Wheeler's "Basic/subadult II (moderately marked type." This is NOT the
bird I found here last week. That bird was almost adult with lots of white
on the head and tail.

The lake is now up to normal level with water moving over the spillway,
though the lake is still about 80% iced. The remaining ice should go pretty
quickly. All the roads are clear and drivable by ordinary vehicles.

Cheers,

Bob
