Had the chance to do a little birding earlier today with the family and was
not disappointed. Although not a lot of action going on, the highlight was
finding 4 eagles enjoying themselves as we observed from the watch tower.
They put on a great show as they took turns swooping out of the trees and
gliding above the water. All the eagles were immatures.
Other observations included:
6+ Sandhill cranes
Northern Shovelers
Mallards
Blue-winged teal
Wood ducks
Tree swallows
GB Heron
RW Blackbird
Song Sparrow
Happy birding!
