A good variety of birds, though mostly "common" stuff, on my walk "at the farm" (my uncle's farm, where I am weekend caretaker):

26 species, with:

barn swallow
ruby-crowned kinglet

Cooper's hawk
red-tailed hawks (2) - one carrying something, but I couldn't tell whether it was nest-building material or a snake.

Lots of pairs displaying, esp. common grackles, house sparrows, starlings, tufted titmouse, chickadees. Woodpeckers drumming - downy, red-bellied and northern flicker. Haven't seen the red-headed woodpeckers that nested there last year, although the two dead trees are still standing.

as "first of year" birds.
