WOW!!!

Thursday, a Common Loon floated around the West Bank of the Lake for a while.

Friday, I saw 10 Sandhill Cranes at the Mercer Wildlife Area. They were headed southwest!! Just a little "dizzy" - maybe - should have been headed in the other direction.

Today, we saw 3 Osprey on the shores of Grand Lake St Marys and at Anderson Landing there was a Blackthroated Green Warbler (is that BTNW Kim??) WHY?

And there were Cub Scouts from Maumee who "camped" at the State Park. They listened to me share Bald Eagle information with them. And my "want-to-be Eagle Scout Grandson assisted me.

And the Mercer Bald Eagle nest has hatched - not sure how many "nestlings" there are yet - can't see any fuzzy heads.

So, that's not too bad for our area!!

Enjoy the spring - the Mayhem on the Board Walk is coming soon!! Can't wait!!

But before that, we visit Pike Lake State Park for Youth Turkey -- and of course, I get to hunt wildflowers and warblers - what fun!

Bring on the birdies!!

Jill
