Yesterday Tim & I headed north on RT 44 to see what we could see.  Most notible sightings were 200-500 (best guess) Ruddy Ducks at LaDue Reservoir in Geauga Co, seen from Valley Rd. that runs along the east side of the lake, north out of the marina.  Most were fairly close to the road.  There were also quite a few (50?) Buffleheads but they were further out, too hard to count.

At Perry Tws Park in North Perry, we had at least 2000 Red-breasted Mergansers on Lake Erie.  Most were way out, but many were in closer.  Definitely need a scope.

A few other notable birds were Brown Creeper, 2 Brown Thrashers, and a warbler (Tennessee?)  The only good looks I got were from the underside but what I could see looked awfully plain.  And several Northern Flickers.  All of these were at Headlands.
