When I lived in Mentor, I had them year round.  So, I'm enjoying the one that is in my yard now (Streetsboro).

Subject: Re: [Ohio-birds] Junco

Every year it seems someone expresses surprise that Dark-eyed Juncos are
still around. According to Peterjohn, Juncos are common through early May,
and may be found later in May throughout the state. I have a record of one
on May 16, 1998 at Magee Marsh.

Also, Juncos nest in some areas in northeast Ohio.
