Got down to the boardwalk briefly this morning and those south winds
brought in some great birds!!

Yellow Throated Warbler
Yellow rumped Warbler
Black and White Warbler
Black Throated Green

APRIL FOOLS........

The real story.............

Lots of golden-crowned kinglets
Hermit thrushes are here
Brown Creepers
Fox Sparrows ( a beautiful bird)
Phoebe (back at his usual spot near the tower)
Winter Wren
And one warbler..........a Louisiana Waterthrush
Also the tree swallows are all claiming their nest boxes, butterflies
were out (saw several Mourning Cloaks and two Commas) The frogs are
singing (or should I say snoring) and lots of turtles out sunning. Just
a great day to be out..........
The next two days south winds are predicted, so it should only get
better each day. Even later today would be worth checking it out.
If you come on Saturday, we are having Bald Eagle Day here from noon
until 4 pm. BACK TO THE WILD will be at the bird center and we will be
touring a couple of area nests. Stop in the Bird Center and see what is
new...................
Also we are offering a Birding Basics class on April 8 and April 15
from 7-9 pm . The class is free of charge, you just need to call to
sign up.

Happy Birding!
