On Friday 4/28, I along with Monica and Alan Brubaker observed a Northern
Rough-winged Swallow make numerous trips to its burrow with nest material.
Its burrow is located in the bank along the creek at E Milo Beck Park in
Springboro, OH. Soon a female Brown-headed Cowbird appeared within a few
feet of the burrow and it watched the female Northern Rough-winged Swallow
go in and out of the burrow several times. Then the female cowbird entered
the burrow.
